Dr. Koelle’s research concerns harnessing the power of the immune system to prevent and fight infectious agents and infection-related cancer.  The main emphasis in the lab is on chronic viral agents such as HSV-1, HSV-2, and VZV, but a variety of other microbes are of interest.
