Our annual Advanced TB Research Training Course, offered in the summer, is intended for students, trainees, as well as experienced investigators who are new to the TB field.
Annual TB Symposium
Our Annual TB Symposium, hosted each spring, serves as a networking and learning forum for local investigators to present recent data. Our Annual Symposium also features a world-leader TB expert as keynote speaker.
Recurring Seminar Series
Our monthly seminar series features local postdoctoral and graduate students presenting their current work at our Mycobacterial Interest Group (MIG). Scientists from all over the world also come and present their current data and research at our Visiting scientists seminars.
Kenya Tuberculosis Research & Training Program (KTRTP)
The Kenya TB Research & Training Program (KTRTP) was established in late 2019 through a grant from the Firland Foundation. The KTRTP is a collaboration between investigators at the Tuberculosis Research & Training Center (TRTC) and the UW Kenya Research and Training Center (KRTC), both at the University of Washington, and the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and the University of Nairobi (UoN).
We facilitate TB topic-specific working groups, such as Informatics for TB (i4TB), with recurring meeting schedules to share ideas, introduce new methods, and network among the data science and TB research community.
