Overview
The TB Leadership Program (TBLP) aims to develop and support TB trainees as they transition from student and post-doctoral fellowship stages to junior faculty and beyond. The goal is to work with primary mentors to hone trainee skills for high impact discoveries and career success. All trainees who receive a SEATRAC NIA award will participate in the TBLP along with other trainees who are selected. TBLP program members meet regularly (approximately monthly with a group of around 10) with activities that include:
- Networking and Career Planning
- Grant Preparation Assistance
- Mock Study Section Review
- Semi-Annual Meetings with Advisory Committee
Eligibility
- MD or PhD or equivalent terminal degree (including an MBChB plus a Master’s Degree).
- New or Early Stage Investigators as identified by the NIH
- Post-doctoral and clinical fellows
- Early-Stage faculty (Assistant Professor and earlier)
- Our primary mission is to support Seattle-based TB researchers; all applicants must have an established, primary mentor at a Seattle-based TRAC affiliated institution
- SEATRAC member
Requirements
- Attend TBLP meetings (approximately once per month)
- Present research proposal to TBLP group (approximately once to twice per year)
